The glamour queen Madhuri Dixit Nene returns to the small screen with Jhalak Dikhlaja 5. The show will have her team up with Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar as judges. The show will be hosted by Ragini Khanna and Manish Paul. The Promos look promising. All 12 contestants seemed to have put on their dancing shoes and are ready to rock the world. The eye catcher of the show will be politician and former Sri Lanka cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya. Give us your feedbacks on the show after every episode.

The 13 Contestants Of JHALAK DIKHLAJA 5

The cricketer turned politician Sanath Jayasuriya is all set to shake his legs in Jhalak Dikla Ja 5. It will be great to watch the all – rounder Sri Lankan cricket sensational to dance on the beats of Bollywood numbers. For his contribution to the society , UNAIDS, Geneva has appointed him as a UN Goodwill Ambassador. He has been actively working for prevention against HIV/AIDS in Sri Lanka. He is the first cricketer to be honored.

Darsheel Safary is the youngest contestant in the show. With his award winning performance in Amir Khan starrer Taare Zameen Par, he rocketed to stardom overnight. He is now a well-known face in the industry and the highest paid child artist. He is going to be the surprise element in the show because as they say - 'big things come in small packages'.

Dancer and actress Isha Sharvani is well known for her difficult and stylistic dance performances on the stage. For the last 7 years, she has been giving dance performances in 22 countries. Trained in Kathak, Kalaripayattu and Chhau dance, she has been learning dance from an early age. She is also the girlfriend of Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan. Look out for her moves as she is definitely going to set the stage on fire.

Pratyusha Banerjee better known as Anandi the typical bahu from Ballika Vadhu serial (shown on Colors)has won the hearts of people by her stunning performance. It will be good to see the ghaghra-choli girl transforming herself into a dancing diva.

Better known as Dev from the serial Geet – Hui Sase Parayi (shown on Star One) and Yash from serial Punnar Vivah (shown on Zee Tv), Gurmeet Chaudhary is among the hottest hunk in the television industry today. He started his career playing the role of Lord Rama in the mythological serial Ramayan in 2008

Giaa Manek started her career by doing commercials. She became a known face, essaying the role of Gopi in Saathiyaa (shown on Start TV).

Ravi Kissen is the superstar of Bhojpuri film industry. After taking part in the reality show Bigg Boss, he was flooded with roles in Bollywood. Although he admits that he is not a great dancer, but it will be fun watching him performing.

Talat Aziz is a famous ghazal singer. Because of his unique style, he is a well-known face in the music world.

Shibani Dandekar is a model, anchor and a singer. Before starting her career in the Indian television, she anchored in the American television industry. Besides being a singer and a model she has successfully hosted and anchored many shows and events in India.

Archana Vijaya is a successful anchor in the television industry and a well-known video jockey for Channel V. She was recently seen as an anchor in DLF IPL T20- Extra Innings.

Jayati Bhatia is a well-known theatre artist and a versatile TV actress. She is a trained Odissi dance.

Bharti Singh is a well-known comedy artist. Her comic timing is amazing. She has successfully done shows in India and abroad. She was the 2nd runner up in “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge - 4”.

Sushil Kumar is the surprise package of Jhalak Dikhlaja 5. He is the 13th contestant to take part in the show. Sushil Kumar is the first contestant who is a commoner but suddenly shot to fame after hitting the jackpot of 5 crore in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ a reality show hosted by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

As promised Jhalak Dikhlaja 5 started with a big BOOM With power packed performances from the contestant, Jhalak just rocked. Full on entertainment!!

Seeing her persistent smile and grin for 1 hour, even my jaws were aching

Must really give it to 3 people - Sanath Jayasuriya, Talat Aziz and Sushil Kumar who showed tremendous spirit having agreed to take part in a dance reality show. All the three are average dances. But they put up a good act. Cheers to their sportsmanship

Average is not what they are . And while they showed great spirit, they also showed great greed to come on tv and make a fool of themselves for what I am sure is good money

Let's be honest, who doesn't want money? You work to earn money. It's like an unquenchable thirst. There is absolutely no harm in having some FUN while making money. Make hay when the sunshines.
